Sample chapters available and other updates

As some of you may have seen, I have added a new sample chapters section to the site. Here you can see the preliminary book covers for my upcoming Amazon offerings as well as a sample chapter from each. The chapters have only had a quick edit and may change a bit by the time I get to publishing the books, but they will give you a sense of the individual stories. I am still planning on getting Vril to Amazon first, but the order of the others is still up in the air. It all depends on which book attracts my editors pen first. The Great Lucado is the furthest from completion as I haven’t finished writing it yet.

The free promotion for Island of Stone is over. In total, 104 copies were downloaded. That’s awesome for just under a week of being available! I hope everyone enjoys the book and for those that missed out, Island of Stone is still available for download for just $2.99. When you all have a chance to read it, I really hope you can leave a review. The feedback will be very helpful for future books and (hopefully) the encouragement will push me forward on this journey. Amazon eBooks are driven by reviews, so even just a few can make a huge difference in moving the product. Thanks again!

Today’s a busy day, so this post is short, but hopefully the addition of the sample chapters will keep you all entertained.

Cheers!

Scott Austin Tirrell loves dark speculative fiction, conjuring isolated worlds where ancient mysteries, the raw power of nature, and the paranormal entwine. His work is steeped in the arcane, drawing from the forgotten corners of history and the unsettling grasp of the supernatural. With a style shaped by Clive Barker, Frank Herbert, and Joe Abercrombie, he crafts narratives that pull ordinary, flawed souls into the extraordinary, where reality frays, shadows lengthen, and the unknown whispers from the void. He has self-published eight books, with Koen set to come out in 2025 under Grendel Press. Residing in Boston with his wife, he draws inspiration from the region’s haunted past and spectral folklore. Scott invites readers to step beyond the veil and into his worlds, where every tale descends into the deeper, darker truths of the human condition.
