Update on the Bull

Today’s post will be short as I have a lot of day job work to get to, unfortunately. I wanted to provide a quick update on the Slaying of the Bull (book 1 of the Tocharian Gospels series). It’s taking a bit longer than expected, but the novel should still be out this month. I’m on page 321 of 584 in the final read-through- so a bit more than halfway. It is running along smoothly, with only minor corrections and additions. I should finish this by the end of the week. There will be a little bit more editing and formatting, and then it will go out to some readers for proofreading and feedback. If everything runs smoothly there, I will then do a final format for kindle and paperback and then publish. God, reading all that, I realized I have some work to do! Once I get through the editing, I will likely make the book available for preorder, so keep an eye out!

For an update on the Island of Stone, I changed the blurb for the book on Amazon to make it a bit more informative. I noticed that compared to other descriptions, mine was a bit short, so I added a bit more detail.

Lastly, if you haven’t had a chance, check out the Island of Stone! I think you’ll enjoy it. If you’ve already checked it out, don’t forget to leave a review on Amazon and/or Goodreads, and for more personal feedback, you can comment below, on Facebook, or here!

Cheers!

Scott Austin Tirrell loves dark speculative fiction, conjuring isolated worlds where ancient mysteries, the raw power of nature, and the paranormal entwine. His work is steeped in the arcane, drawing from the forgotten corners of history and the unsettling grasp of the supernatural. With a style shaped by Clive Barker, Frank Herbert, and Joe Abercrombie, he crafts narratives that pull ordinary, flawed souls into the extraordinary, where reality frays, shadows lengthen, and the unknown whispers from the void. He has self-published eight books, with Koen set to come out in 2025 under Grendel Press. Residing in Boston with his wife, he draws inspiration from the region’s haunted past and spectral folklore. Scott invites readers to step beyond the veil and into his worlds, where every tale descends into the deeper, darker truths of the human condition.
